Best headset for under $120

Go to solution Solved by ShearMe,

HD518, ATH-AD500X, SHP9500 are good open options, ATH-A500X, NVX XPT100, ATH-M40X, SRH440, HyperX Cloud for closed

Since you're in the US, Kingston's, or should I say HyperX's, Cloud or Cloud 2 headsets should be under your budget, from my experience with the Cloud, they're amazing.

Sound quality over my monitor's speakers are godly, and the mic is actually rather decent for a "gaming" headset.

Though I know there'll be someone who will come in here and recommend some Sennheiser headphones and ModMic combo.

ARGHHHH, you said headphones, dammit >.<

Please excuse my lack of reading.

Yeah... not really. The ATH M30x is not that great. Besides, the M40X is at $100 on amazon right now. Regardless, that whole series is not good for gaming anyway, so I would stay away from them. If you're doing a razer themed build, I would suggest just getting some black headphones, since that is presumably your accent color, and there are a lot of plain black headphones. If you're going to get a cloud, the cloud 1 is really the only one to consider (assuming you can't get either for the same price) since the USB dongle might as well be useless. I would stay away from Razer headsets/headphones, they really are not impressive at all, aside from their loud coloring.  I would look into all of the headphones that @ShearMe just listed. He really knows his stuff :P

Hey! New SIgnature!

I'm supposedly a person on the Internet, but you'll never know if I'm human or not ;)
