Hi,

As I'm currently running Windows 7 pirated, I was planning to buy the full retail version of Windows 10 when available (July 29th). But since Windows 7 keys are available on reddit or G2A, which are believe are OEM (or MSDN?), I could grab a key for $20.

(1) But if I change my motherboard, I won't be able to use that key, right? Is a Windows 7 OEM key will result in an OEM Windows 10 key?

(2) And if it's MSDN key, if ever the society that owns them don't renew his contract, will my Windows 10 key (from my Windows 7 key that I upgraded to Windows 10) stop working?

(3) Windows says that non genuine Windows won't be legit on Windows 10 (they'll need to pay). However, when I check here: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/genuine , it says my Windows is genuine... But I used an activator to validate Windows!

Thanks,

T.

You can only upgrade if you were a "beta" tester for windows 10, upgrading from windows 7 to windows 10 will result in you having to pay the msrp for windows 10 from microsoft.
