I would like help on how to get the best possible set up for music production. I try to make progessive house and would like help on how to set up my computer, the monitors and the software itself which in this case is Fl studio.

 

I have M- audio bx5 studio monitors

lenovo z500 laptop which i am looking to updgrade and any possible suggestions would be great

Maybe @mr moose and @t0wer for the software?

 

For speaker set up, try to form an equilateral triangle between your head and the speakers, with them angled inwards toward your head. If you can afford the cost and/or time, room conditioning is a good thing.

No need for "conditioning" Just borrow a well made mic and set up DRC properly. With good enough correction you dont even need to point your speakers - Sometimes offset is better than direct lining. Usually when you listen bookshelf speakers at close range. 

 When the going gets weirdthe weird turn pro.
