Hey.

 

This morning i decided to change thermal paste on my CPU and now after i connected everything again, it doesn't post.

 

Stuff i have tried:

  • 2 different psu's
  • 2 different gpu's + iGPU
  • With 1 memory stick and with no sticks (no difference, not even a beep)
  • Resetting the CMOS, and tried booting without
  • Different monitors with different outputs

My hardware:

 

CPU - i5-4670K

Cooler - Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo

Mobo - ASUS Z87-K

Memory - 2x 4GB Corsair Vengeance LH

GPU(s) - ASUS GTX 480 & ASUS Radeon 5570

PSU(s) - Silver Power SP-S650 & Cooler Master GX 750

have you tried reseating the CPU?  Maybe you didn't get it in the socket completely.

Please spend as much time writing your question, as you want me to spend responding to it.  Take some time, and explain your issue, please!

are u sure it was thermal paste and not toothpaste?

have you tried reseating the CPU?  Maybe you didn't get it in the socket completely.

Didn't know that was possible, i just guessed it only could be seated one way.. Will report back in a minute or two!

What? You disconnect everything when you reapply thermal paste?

 

I just disconnect the fans that are on the block, and the block itself ._.

the reseat should work
