big difference?

currently i have amd a10-6800k apu and geforce gtx 970. im planning to buy b85m-g43 and i5 4460. the reason i want to buy those is that my current apu(that works only as a cpu) is a big bottleneck to my gpu. i checked benchmarks and all possible comparisons but im not sure if there is so big of a difference, so should i upgrade? all i want is that my cpu wouldnt bottleneck the sh*t out of my gpu.

The 4460 can run a titan X so it should have no trouble with a 970.

AMD has horrendous RnD, there per core performance had stayed the same(or got worse) for years, while Intel steadily increases by about 8% every new generation.

AFAIK their IPC has gotten worse from the Phenom line, thats why ¯\▁(◉◡◉)▁/¯
