Not sure if this will help but I had a similar problem with Assassin's Creed 2. I would start the game and it will start for an instant then crash. It turns out that it was MSI afterburner causing it since closing it made it work no problem. I don't know what within afterburner was causing the problem however. I also had the exact same problem in Dirty Bomb where MSI afterburner was causing it to crash on start.
