hi everyone,

 

 

I am very nearly about to commence a pc build for my friend and would like to know if my parts list is wise or not. Anyone that has any suggestions would be much appreciated indeed.

 

LIST:

 

CPU: Intel Pentium G3258 (overclocked...derr)

 

motherboard: ASrock Z97 anniversary 

 

graphics card: Sapphire R9 280 3gb

 

RAM: Kingston HyperX Fury Blue 8gb (4x2gb) 1866MHz

 

HDD: Western Digital Blue 1TB 

 

case: Corsair spec 02 Carbide (or anything under $85 AUD)

 

PSU: Corsair VS 550 watt

 

CPU cooler: Corsair H60

 

fans: Corsair AF120 120mm blue LED air series

R9 280... ok...

 

 

...G3258... umm...

 

Go with an i5 4460 or 4690K, unless you can't afford it, you can upgrade later. Not saying the G3258 is a bad CPU, but it doesn't fit with your build (might be some bottlenecking, correct me if I'm wrong though)

hi, my currency is Australian dollars and in Australia...  and I'm pretty sure that the CPU won't bottle neck the GPU, and brah, jus coz the pentium is dual core doesn't mean that tit doesn't pack a punch, theres basically no difference between the i3 and the pentium

your fan colour was blue and the case fan colour was red... just to point out

 

whats your budget and region?

i know the colour difference, I am just going to take the red LED fan out and replace it with the blue one (i will also add an extra one)
