Best AIO For Beginners

What would you suggest for first time water cooling for someone that is newish to building computers, and building anything really..

i5 4690k

Msi 970

8gb Hyper X

600w EVGA Gold Plus

Corsair 200r

Gigabyte Z97 D3H Lga 1150

CoolerMaster Hyper 212 Evo

I'm just thinking about the cpu at the time, and originally thought about getting a corsair h80i but don't know enough about water cooling and am worried it'll leak on my parts..

On looks alone it looks worth it, and would like to try it.

Could someone experienced let me know their favorite brands or models?

The H80i is a closed loop cooling system; it will not leak on your parts. But if it does, Corsair is liable to pay you for damaged components.

AIOs are sort of a novelty, for the person too lazy and cheap to get a custom loop, but still wants a "watercooled PC"

Go big or go home :P

Cheap? Are you aware of how much more expensive a custom watercooling loop is?

i5's are for cheap people! i7's!

I'd go with an h80i, but the Evo 212 is still a great cooler!

I would say a H80i but a Hyper 212 will do just fine at a much lower price.

If you install it correctly it won't leak and if it will which is very unlikely Corsair has top notch RMA and warranty.

All AIOs are essentially the same product, just different sizes and feature sets. They are all very beginner friendly. The case you have is going to limit you to what size AIOs you can use.

For a CPU, you don't want anything smaller than a 240mm radiator because the 120/140mm AIOs are often more expensive and perform worse than similarly priced air tower coolers. So if you want an AIO on your CPU, 240mm is the smallest I would go for.

I really like my Cooler Master Seidon 240M because I got it for so cheap. It's a phenomenal performer for $60-70 after mail in rebate through Newegg.

It is a refurb though. Still a good option, just need to be aware that it's a refurb.

I bought a cooler master seidon 120V when i build my first rig. It was a mistake, if you go with an AIO, at least the way i see it, you wanna get the best OC you can get without going custom loop, and a single rad is easily beaten by good air coolers. I got a Corsair H105 (100 bucks on amazon) and the difference...just get a dual rad, the prize to performance ratio on single rads is lower and just not worth it. Before i couldnt go with 1.2 volts cause it would overheat, now im at 1.3 and still high 60s, just night and day.

And i wanted to mention, your premise is what AIO for a first timer, i don't see how that's a factor since honestly dude, they are VERY easy to install, for an I5 i would see whats the best 240mm rad you can get for the lowest price. Maybe the X41 makes sense but for it's prize you can get a 240mm rad.

The consensus I've got is the 212 evo is good enough.
I believe what i'll do is research a custom loop for a long time, and get the basics of OC down and eventually get it and skip the AIO completely.
Pardon the noobness, I've been building computer since way back in early 2015 lol
What is Fry's? I've seen mention of it in a lot of forums, but never heard of it?
I live in nashville and after a very brief google search didn't see any in my area.
Thanks!

There's a pretty decent sized price gap between even the most expensive AIO and cheapest custom loop. If OP is scared of an AIO leaking, I don't think OP is ready to venture into the realm of custom watercooling.
