Hey Guys,

I am going to build my friend a PC but I don't know what to get him, he needs to get it from overclockers. He plays AAA games and sometimes streams, any help is much appreciated, 8

freshtec build uses named parts, you could do a little better but not much and you get a warranty with the whole build, not just the parts.

This is about the minimum I would buy.. though if the £500 is a hard limit then you can drop the SSD. Note, the board MAY need a bios update.. contact the supplier to check first or research one thats had it done already.

If you want to stay under 500, you can do this:

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: Intel Core i5-4460 3.2GHz Quad-Core Processor  (£139.97 @ CCL Computers)
Motherboard: ASRock Z97 Anniversary ATX LGA1150 Motherboard  (£57.80 @ Ebuyer)
Memory: Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory  (£39.99 @ Dabs)
Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive  (£37.44 @ Aria PC)
Video Card: MSI GeForce GTX 960 2GB Video Card  (£159.44 @ Ebuyer)
Case: Zalman Z3 Plus ATX Mid Tower Case  (£25.29 @ Amazon UK)
Power Supply: EVGA 500W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply  (£37.00 @ Scan.co.uk)
Total: £496.93
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available
Generated by PCPartPicker 2015-06-26 01:16 BST+0100

Honestly, prices are super weird in the UK. Here the R9 280x is about the same price as the GTX 960, but there it's way more expensive. Also the Z97 chipset board I included is cheaper than any h97 chipset board. Super weird. On the other side, that case is ridiculously cheap for what you get.
