New build - any thoughts?

SayberSky

I'm currently in the process of upgrading to a new PC , after 4 years of using an HD 7770 and the x4 Phenom II  :D

This is the build that I came up with , it's from my local retailer , are the specs any good and should I change anything? I'll be using it at 1080p only and mostly for gaming and a bit of light programming and video/picture editing.

Thank you in advance!

Looks good to me, I will offer my usual advice of going for a single stick of 8GB ram, simply for expandability. Also if you can get it into your budget a Z97 motherboard and K series CPU would be nice.

But yeah, looks great.

EVGA Doesn't even make PSUs. They slap there name on it. All of them are refreshes same with corsairs. Here's a link http://www.realhardtechx.com/index_archivos/Page2293.htm Pretty much any EVGA PSU you should buy should be SeaSonic or SuperFlower. I don't feel like explaining anymore but u can if you want.

Get a BeQuiet! PureRock CPU cooler if it's available. It's cheaper and quiter and will keep your temps lower.

I didnt mean they literally make them but my point is theirs are newer than that corsair one. Also usually cheaper.

Yes but you gotta specify which ones. Like the G2 or GS series.

Yes true my bad. I find corsair overpriced like the RM series is usually like 30% more $ than  an EVGA G2
