I having an old system:

cpu: intel pentium e6500 2.93 ghz

ram: 4gb of ram

psu: standard atx ps2 power supply 400W

graphics card: gigabyte gv-nx84s512hp 512mb 

And i need to upgrade my graphics cards, so which should i use?

Normally I'd say get a new PSU and a lower-end 700-series card (or a 260x), but wow. that's old.

 

I thin you'll want to build a new PC overall, since there are going to be bottlenecks everywhere

Best thing to do. Is actually upgrade your hole system. Save money. around 500$ and you get a new pc.

R9 270, getting anything better makes no sense because the PC is old. But tthis will give a nice boost, overclock your CPU and you will be able to play most games on decent settings.

possible, that socket is from the same year as PCI E 1.0 ...and its likely a prebuilt where they went cheap.

edit nah thats a PCI-E card, but I stand by my statement of dont bother and just get a new comp.
