Hey, friends

recently I have started to notice a slower boot on my PC. Before, the boot time was literally within 5-10 seconds, now 50% of the time the booting takes roughly 30+ seconds (booting=windows loading screen mainly). I am running the Kingston HyperX 3K SSD, if that matters. I have Avast+Malwarebytes, nothing is showing up there... any idea why could it be? Btw, the SSD has roughly 40GB out of 120GB still free...

Thanks

Well over 2 years :(

Normally, it should be fine. Do you experience data corruption, data loss, something like that?

Nothing, just slower boot times, and that is not always... like I said, it is only 50% or even less, but when it happens, it is noticable

Only boot time? How about data transfer?

Hey 1Scotty1,

Do you by any chance happen to have too many programs that start with the booting of the OS and thus slowing the process down?
I would run a benchmark utility and a diagnostic program to see how the SSD is performing and if the problem is with the performance or something else is slowing down the process.

Don't some drives back off in their speeds when over 50-60% full...?

Older drives used to... past 30% and its dropped a performance tier, past 50-60% and it drops performance again...

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz
