Hey all! I watch LinusTechTips a lot, and with the onset of the official release of Windows 10 I think I need to upgrade my computer. (Funny thought, I already have the preview but my hdd is quickly filling.) So I have it all planned out (http://pcpartpicker.com/p/8xP4Q7) but I need a graphics card. I'd like a nice, good card under $150 max. Also, I play Minecraft a lot (sometimes with mods) and would like a solid 40FPS 8 chunks at 1080p. I'm open to any card you guys think, just PLEASE try not to get into a amd/nvidia argument!

Thanks soooo much for your help!

Thanks soooo much for your help!

I would stretch your budget a little bit and go for a r9 270x, it had about 2 times the performance in all categories other than tdp Gpu Boss (Prices are off) Gigabyte R9 270X it is my personal card and I run minecraft at 60-80 fps max settings with a CPU that is worse than yours (AMD Athlon II) I can also run many games at max settings including BF4 and Euro Truck Simulator, I would HIGHLY recommend this card!

@Colt_0pz I run Minecraft a lot and that is extremely write intensive. Not exactly heaven for an SSD. Plus the preview boots to the lock screen in 3 seconds no joke on my dinky $279 laptop! (Regular drive, not ssd)
Also, http://gpuboss.com/gpus/Sapphire-Radeon-R9-270-vs-GeForce-GTX-750-Ti. Just sayin'.

So I'll get everything else in my system first, if I have enough I'll get a R9 270(x) else 750 Ti.

Thanks again!

If you get the 270x I recommend the gigabyte model.
