Quick question about memory speeds

Go to solution Solved by mroz10,

NCIX did a video about this a few days ago. It'll all run at 1333. Oh, and performance doesn't normally change after 1600.

Hello.

So, for my upcoming PC, I'm going to buy a kit of 1866 MHz CL9 RAM (2x4GB) and I'm going to run that in dual channel. But I found some old DDR3 memory and I figured I could use that. The ones I found were 2GB DIMMs at 1333 MHz (don't remember the CL). My question is, is it possible to run the faster 1866 memory at 1866 MHz and the slower ones at 1333?
