CPU fan bios longevity

might but i dont think so, as long as you dont increase the voltage if you can even do that, its probably fine

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

I have 15 year old sleve bearing fans that still run rock solid because I oil and clean them monthly. And I dont run them slow either.

You can't overvolt fans with mobo. All mobos will provide max 12V through fan headers. Same goes for PSU cables like molex. If you want to reduce lifespan on purpose, you will need external power source.
