if you sli 2 cards like a 980 or tiatin that can only do a max of 1 4k monitar can you then do 2 4k monitars and if so if you do 3 or 4? and if you cant and you run them separtly but can you still do the 3d surround?

No, your major limiting factor on resolution you can run at is Vram, SLI doesnt double Vram.

Not with a 980ti or titan it's not.. it's sli scaling in surround with 4k monitors.

 

You could do 3 way surround on 4k with 2 titans though frames may be a bit low or quality will need to be dropped. Much better to go 3x 1440 instead.

yeah, people have run three 3k monitors with 4 titan Xs

the problem is that games arent really made for that so even though you get playable fps, the microstuttering and lag spikes are really annoying
