post-229884-0-94138600-1435094918.jpgWell in about a week I'll able to afford my gaming PC build, this is the specs

NZXT Noctis 450 Midi Tower Black

MSI X99A GAMING 7, Socket-2011-3
  Intel Core i7-5820K, Socket-LGA2011-3
  HyperX Predator DDR4 2666MHz 16GB 4x4GB, DDR4 Non-ECC CL13 DIMM (Kit of 4) XMP Predator Series
  NZXT Kraken X61 CPU Cooler
  Samsung 850 EVO 250GB SSD
  WD Desktop Black 1TB
MSI GeForce GTX 980 Ti Gaming 6GB

You maybe noticed that I didn't include the PSU and that what I'm going to ask for help for.
The choice is between EVGA Supernova 750w and EVGA Supernova 850w. I live in sweden so the price difference is about 45 bucks and the 750w PSU cost around
143,  (Yeah I know it ain't cheap to live here) so it will be 190 bucks for the 850w PSU
I want to be able to overclock the i7-5830K to 4.5 GHz and I want to have a decent overlcock on the ram and the gpu to
o.
What should I do? Will I be able to save 45 bucks and go with the 750w psu or do I need go with the 850w?

That's a nice build,

the cpu and gpu would be fine on 750w,

But maybe wait for fury to maybe lower the prices ? it's out in a few hours

no point in overclocking ram.. no difference..

get a 240mm AIO or good air cooler.. 120mm just don't really cut it.

Go 850 for cool operation with SLI. 750 will still be enough though. Make sure it's the G2 and not the G1, G1 is no-where near as good.

Also, whats the usage for the rig.. if it's gaming only then go 1150 rather than 2011 chip.

Nah not only for gaming bu about 60% of the time. I will use about 25% of it to video editing and the rest to loofing around (note take this with a grant of salt cause it will most likley change)

@Dzzope yes its the G2 also will I be able to sli in the future if I go with the 850w?

Im guessing money is no problem for you if you are going for the 2011-V3 platform then get the 850w. :)

~snip~

Hey FoAffinity,

The build looks pretty solid and powerful. What are your plans for it (usage)?
As the guys said, it is a big overkill for gaming, but it really depends on what you need and want.
Regarding the storage, WD Black is a great performance-oriented drive with good speeds and long warranty. I would, though, consider WD Blue as a more cost-friendly alternative as you already have the SSD for the more demanding programs (unless you need the speed from the HDD) or consider a larger HDD for more massive storage in case you ever need it (again this depends entirely on your needs and requirements). :)
