I am planning on building my first computer and have spent sometime learning about different components. I have a budget of about $1500 (AUD) but it can be stretched especially for much better performance. After learning about parts and which are good/bad and I quickly put together a part list: http://au.pcpartpicker.com/p/ppbgcf

This is including a monitor, keyboard, mouse and headphones. I don't want to cheap out on these components and would rather just increase the budget to fit everything. ATM the build is a bit too much but I'm hoping that can be fixed. In terms of graphics cards I play TERA and other mmos and would like to play on ultra setting with a good fps ideally. Plz help me! If I don't decide the parts soon I may never build a computer!

EDIT: This is my updated build http://au.pcpartpicker.com/p/Wj2CnQ

i u went for the 4670k i would have gone for the 4690k , its 20 bucks cheaper and newer :) I would allso concider either gigabytes or msi's Gtx 970 over zotac, i doesnt really mather wich manufacurer you go for, but i know that both gigabyte and msi oc very well, better copoling better clocks :) my msi gtx 970 runs with a 210mhz core clock and a 550 memory clock stable atm :)

that pc looks good imo, will run the shit out of tera, rift, wow,gta ,,witcher 3 on ultra all :)

Are you going to overclock?  if not you can save a bucket load on the CPU, motherboard and CPU cooler and put that into a better GPU.

So about overclocking, I don't mind overclocking but the main problem with the build atm is that it is too expensive. Can price be reduced without sacrificing power etc. ? Could I get a 960 and overclocking that? What are some alternative motherboards as I believe that one is pretty expensive? Anything else I could substitute that would still let the system run but make it cheaper?

could go away from the k cpu and the zboard. save a few bucks. refarding the gtx 970 its the biggest bang for your buck atm, you could maybe save sum on a non k cpu, non z board and a cheaper case. would reccomand you taking an ssd , just grab a 120 gb to run your os on, this will increasethe overall feel and speed of your pc ! :D
