In the next couple of Summer months, I'm working extra to make money for a new pc.

I'm looking for any tips, deals on parts, or thoughts that might help me or I might be overlooking. This will be my first full build.

My rough budget is around low $1500 to high $1900.

My current wants are oriented arounds gaming. Gaming as in GTA 5, Fallout 4 for some examples. Going for a duel display setup with 2 144hz 1080p screens. Honestly one of these will probably be YouTube and Twitch streams most of the time so I may downgrade one of these.

Not 100% comfortable with water cooling but I may give it a shot if you could come up with a decent build. I'm am normally a fan of Team Red but I will defect if the price and setup looks nice. 8 to 16 gbs of ram if possible.

I will be getting paid split into 3 checks and I will be buying things separately over the course of the next 2 months. A good buy order would be nice as well but not necessary. I know I'm asking for a lot but I would really appreciate any advice and help I could get.

make sure to ask again once you actually want to buy it to make sure whatever people will post is still up to date

Will do. I'm sure there will be a lot of price changes in the next couple months with the R9 Furys and R9 390x on the market. Might find a a super cheap R9 290x or 2 lol

in your budget, I'd be getting a FuryX / 980Ti.

Maybe get a Fury card once they are released, but atm the 980ti is best.  Monitors are maybe so-so, although I'm sure they would work.  One 1440p panel would make better use of the GPU.

A single 1080p 144hz monitor is going to cost 250, and maybe another 150 for a regular 60 hz one.  Also, those cards are probably pretty wasted at 1080p anyway.

Yes and no.. GTAV even at 1080 is hard to drive, nevermind 144hz.

At 1080, a gtx 980 averages 90 fps on ultra settings, from benchmarks I've looked up.  Also, most games don't have large expansive metropolises with tons of crap happening at every corner.  I would still say the 980 ti is overkill.  Personally I would go with a build similar to this.

I should have said this the OS and Optical drive are not part of my budget. Scrapping my old optical drive because I never use one nowadays.

I edited my last build with the changes.  I guess if you really wanted to, you could spend the extra $150 and get the 980 TI, and hit your $1900 cap.  I still think it is unnecessary, but it is your choice.
