Smartwatch

So I've been looking at getting a smart watch, and I've determined that the Moto 360 seems best for me.

The only thing stopping me from buying it is the fact that the watch itself seems so thick. 

Then I was searching around some more and I found out that the Moto 360 2 is coming out soon...???

 

So should I pick up the Moto 360 now or should I wait until the Moto 360 2 is released??

The OG Moto 360 is a decent android wear watch today, but the concern I have is that as Google adds more features over time, the watch will not have the hardware to run it - the latest update was already delayed due to performance issues. IMO, if you want a watch today, then go with another one, otherwise wait.
