Hi all,

For some reason, some games, primarily Advanced Warfare, have been intermittently lagging/momentarily hanging during gameplay (and cutscenes), to the point where it is completely unplayable. At first, I assumed that it was having trouble rendering the scenes (I enabled supersampling and anti-aliasing), but when I entered safemode and disabled everything (including enabling rendering at a super low resolution), the lagging issue doesn't seem to have been fixed. It will let me play at a decent framerate when it's not lagging/hanging momentarily, so the hardware is perfectly capable, but this issue seems to occur no matter what settings I try.

I've cleaned out all of my graphics drivers, including Intel HD4600, and AMD, and then reinstalled the latest Beta Drivers for my R9 280x. I know for a fact that temperature isn't an issue for the card as my rig maintains a solid 50~ degrees throughout, even under heavy load. Advanced Warfare doesn't even seem to boost the temps at all. I've been having this problem ever since Windows 7, and I've now updated to Windows 10.

Intel Core i5 4960K @4.3GHz

Gigabyte Radeon R9 280x with latest AMD beta drivers

8GB 2400MHz HyperX

750W Corsair PSU

Windows 10 Insider Preview

Ample Cooling

Is there some sort of graphics driver/redist package that I'm missing? It's completely broken the game!

Many thanks in advance!
