Upgrade Advice Needed

Would it be better for me to wait for the 5th gen Intel processors, DDR4 memory, and X99 mobo prices to drop in price before I build a new PC or should I just go with DDR3 and a 4 gen CPU. I will be mainly playing games and I have read up that the 5 gen CPU and DDR4 will not impact your gaming all that much but I want to future proof my system so I wont have to upgrade for at least 3-4 years. I'm more inclined to wait for the prices to drop because if i do decide to go with a 4th gen cpu I will be stuck with the lga 1150 socket and will have to buy a whole new mobo and cpu plus the new DDR4 memory again later down the road if i do decide to upgrade. Which do you guys think is the better choice

its gonna be ddr4...and ddr3...to make upgrading easier

 

skylake will be out in a few months

If your in need of an upgrade there isn't any real reason to wait but there is always the you get more performance to dollar if you wait.
