Because you will be streaming over the network and not the internet you would need a good router

I think your up is more the issue..my internet is hardly great but trying to steam steam from my PC to my laptop on this connection is sketchy at best. and Id say not useable aside from the slowest paced of games like Civ.



That being said im not a network expert...someone else can shed more light on this.

A good router is recommended, preferably one with 802.11 AC wifi, and same goes for the device you're playing it on.

Well if you are just streaming between your home pc and phone and not outside the house (Both connected to the same router) its just the router that affects the performance.

To be clear, you will be streaming while at home, so you only need a good internal connection.

to be able to get the best coinnection, you will need a decent switch and a decent WiFi access point.

The router is irrelevant unless you get an all-in-one box
