Looking for program to force quit a process / running program.

I'm looking for a software that will force quit a different program after X ammount of time of inactivity, the reason is that it is a paid software used in company with limited licenses and very often person leaves it on the computer and goes to do something else and license is taken :( . Anything like that out there?

It's a basic feature of Windows Server.

What software license is tied to session ID's?  That's a bit weird O.o

damn, had one of these on my last computer.

And no task manager asks a program to close, or a process to cease. If the program tells task manager to go screw, then task manager does nothing.(speaking from personal experience) There are programs that do override this to halt processes.

Sorry went looking, and gave my old computer's green drive to my brother after a format when he ran out of storage. I remember it was some random 8 character string that sort of made sense for those of us that grew up with having to name files with 8 characters.

Checking with my brother, If he didn't do another format I might be able to find the name of the program I used to use.

Sorry haven't had a problem with my new setup. The old one was for killing virus processes.

Found it. Process explorer. Be careful using this. While a reboot will reset anything you do using this. for youir current session if you stop the wrong thing you might be screwed.

Process explorer. I think this is what I used to use. basically used it for killing trojans, and stopping viruses from spreading while trying to delete. might be useful for your application. although you might want something external to the user that you can use as admin.
