If you're only gaming take the RAM down to 8GB, but if you're doing video editing I'd say that's pretty good.

Pro Tip: don't use flash when taking pictures of your build; use a longer exposure instead. Prop up your camera with something (preferably a tripod) if necessary.

if you use retarded/autistic/etc to mean stupid please gtfo

You should the motherboard to a Asus Z97-A and maybe downgrade the CPU cooler if your not going to overclock. Then spend the rest of the money to switch the 970 to a 980 TI if you want to game at 1440p or even 4k.

Just because not 100% of the units fail doesn't mean it's good...

Yeah, but does it really have to be ALL Amazon?  You are losing money here, even if there are shipping costs.

Maybe a 290x since you can get them for under $300 w/ pretty much the same performance. The MSI SLI Krait would look good with that RAM and match the case. There's only a little bit of red on it, so if you got a different CPU cooler (you don't really need a $80 cooler, not bashing it, but you could invest that money in aesthetics. I'm kind of a looks freak though, so if you just want performance (with that god awful mismatched color scheme, I would guess so) I can make different recommendations for that.

Aaaand you just mentioned a $1400 budget. You could probably fit in a 980ti on that, what are you doing with a 970? As one who leans towards red team, however, I would tell you to wait a week for the launch of the furies and see how it performs before you buy the card it competes with.

Tip to those that are new on LTT forum- quote a post so that the person you are quoting gets a notification, otherwise they'll have no idea that you did. You can also use a tag such as @Ryoutarou97 (replace my username with anyone's. You should get a dropdown after you type the "@")to send a notification, but quoting is preferable.

Feel free to PM me about absolutely anything be it tech, math, literature, etc. I'll try my best to help. I'm currently looking for a cheap used build for around $25 to set up as a home server if anyone is selling.

If you are a native speaker please use proper English if you can. Punctuation, capitalization, and spelling are as important to making your message readable as proper night theme formatting is.

My build is fully operational, but won't be posted until after I get a GPU in it and the case arted up.

exactly

those cx and cs units are designed to fail after like 2-3 years

and why bother

if you can buy the mercedes for the same price as the ford

Actually, just tell me what you want from the system and I'll make a parts list for it.

I am looking to overclock and probably only play games at 1080p so i thought the 970 would fit me well and don't know how i would cram a 980 ti in tbh.

The 970 is fine for 1080p, actually, pretty great in terms of it's performance at $330.
