Playstation 2 on computer monitor

Stelio

Hi,
I've been trying to find a way to connect my playstation 2 to my computer monitor, after some research I think the only way i can do this is with a Converter box. And I think this one should work:
http://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B00J3W1BB8?ref_=cm_cd_al_qh_dp_t

Does anyone have any experience with this? Or can anyone tell me if this would work?

My monitor has VGA, DVI and HDMI inputs.

Note: I dont need any upscaling or such, the output resolution is fine.
Note2: I only need video, I allready have the sound working.

Note3: It doens't have to be from amazon.de, this is just the closest amazon to my country (Belgium), an ebay link is also good.

Best Regards,
Martijn

Ignore the bad reviews. Just a bunch of idiots who don't realize you have to set the PS2 video settings to 'Y Pb/Pr' before you can use it.

Ok, thnx for the suggestion. What exactly is this Y Pb/Pr setting? is this in the PS2 settings or do I need a different cable for it?

This is the cable I have:

Edit: oh wait, it looks like the plug on the playstation itself, so i just plug it in and change something in the settings and it should work?

In the PS2 settings, go to Component Video Out and set it to "Y Pb/Pr."

Then, unplug the composite cable from the PS2 and plug in the adapter, making sure to also connect the USB power cable in (you can plug it into one of the PS2's USB ports). Connect an HDMI cable from the adapter to your monitor and you're good to go :)

And it's a bit cheaper.
