Hello fellow tech users :D

Today I want to make my first post on these forums asking for your advice:

I'm looking for a windows tablet for browsing the web, watching movies or powerpoints (on the tablet or external screens).

Also I need it to be at a pricepoint where I don't mind taking it with me to  school etc so about 200$.

Specs I'm looking for:

-decent CPU (I don't know how big the differences are here)

-video out (able to push 1080p video to external device)

-at least one USB port (pretty standart I guess)

-WiFi for internet

-decent HD/FHD screen (for windows I think ~9" would be good but let me know your experiences!)

- (at least) 2GB of RAM

-option to expand storage (microSD for media etc)

So basicly I'm looking for the perfect tablet at a low price :D

I hope you can help me find a solution ;)

Any suggestions/tips are much appreciated!

-Tyrius

200 bucks is really like..NOT a lot of money, i get being on budget [in college myself so i get it] but if you can bring that number up to 4 or even 500 you REALLY can go crazy :]

I got a Lenovo MIIX 3 10'' a while back, and I'm pretty happy with it, for it's price.

Not sure how much will it cost where you live tho, you might want to check it out.

Compared to your spec requirements it has:

-decent CPU, a pretty good intel Atom

-video out: micro (or mini, not sure about the name) HDMI

-has a micro usb

-WiFi

-10'' 1200p display

- 2GB of RAM

-microSD slot

+ comes with a pretty good keyboard with trackpad.

Just so you know, its mini HDMI :P

EDIT: Also its 350USD roughly

I need to learn my outputs xD

$350 is over OPs budged, however if you get a MIIX 3 for $350, which is a lot cheaper than other tablets in its class, I don't think you can cover your requirements for $200 @OP.

Alright, thanks a lot for the responses!

I'm looking at the MIIX 3 right now, if I would decide to go up to that pricepoint (~350$) would the MIIX be the best option to go for or are there similarly priced competitors I should have a look at?

Also most tablets I've seen have a "Intel Bay Trail Z3735F" or similar built into them. I don't know much about these (atom?) CPUs, are there noticable performance differences? I mean do I need to watch out for the exact number/model or are they more or less all the same :P

I cant really comment on the CPUs because thats not really my field, but i know once you break that 200USD price point you open up to the Samsung Tablet market and you can get some REALLY awesome stuff there [im a little bit of a Samsung fanboy thanks to my amazing Note2]

Hmm, I think I'd like to stay with windows at this time.

Do you have experience with their refurbished products? How are they?

Now I've found the "Teclast x98 Air II" and it seems to good to be true. But since it's chinese I wonder: When I buy this, am I "gambling" (not to get useless crap)?

If anyone knows this tablet, please share your experience :)

Also if anyone knows a shop that ships these things to europe, I'm currently looking for one!
