------

I'm still looking for a replacment power supply due to my 1600w Lepa restarting my computer when it's under load.

Example : Running Valley or Heaven the system will restart but running a game ( Euro Truck Sim 2 ) it worked fine.

**Before you say that's a potatoe game, It was the only game the was quick to download and test**

------

The budget for a new power supply is between $100 - $150. I would prefer it to be below $150 if possible.

Some people said a 750w is enough and some people said 850w is what I need.

So let me know what you guys would recommend at my budget.

Keep in mind I do plan to have the 8350 overclocked.

Thanks!

that psu doesnt sound like a solid one.. if you wnat the max wattage for your budget you could get his http://pcpartpicker.com/part/evga-power-supply-220gs1050v1

a 750w G2 is also a solid choice if you dont want to spend that much

Thats that. If you need to get in touch chances are you can find someone that knows me that can get in touch.

Yeah, aka Sparkle. You can do a lot better for the price. Get an EVGA 750 G2 or B2 instead

Would the EVGA be the best for that budget?

I want to make sure I can get whats best for the money.

EVGA G2 and B2 are some of the best in their price ranges.

The extra for the G2 is put towards full modularity, more efficiency, and hybrid fan mode, but both are very solid PSUs

I should of mentioned I would like to pick the power supply up in store.

So for that one it would be MicroCenter and they have it for $169.99, Which is over my budget.

Don't you also pay extra for the gold certification?

Yes, that's the "more efficiency" part lol, but honestly, nobody needs the G2 over the B2.

Ripple is at least in spec on this review; though the only previous review had it out of spec on the 5v rail by 5mv.

Still rather disappointing all around.

Cougar is also still lying about the fan being a Hydro Dynamic / Fluid Dynamic bearing.

Part Number shows it's a Sleeve bearing fan.

its ok but you can do better

If you are buying from that site then I would go with this Antec Edge:

http://www.directron.com/edge750.html

If you want something cheaper then go for the Antec HCG 750W.

Is there a reason why the Edge would be better than the FSP model?

That feature isn't really necessary for me.

If the power supply has it good but if not it's okay.

Edge is based off Seasonic G platform, which is better then Aurum Pro.

+1 for the Antec
