Right now i have sitting infront of me a saphire 280x duel x edition and a asus direct cu 2 7970, and in my rig i have a duel x 7970 saphire.

I am awaiting a PSU to run both cards but for now I want to chuck one of them in to replace my current 7970 and out of curiosity would like to know what you guys think would give more ooomf being that there all the same card pretty much.

The Asus Direct CU 2 7970

or the Saphire 280x Duel x.

the 280X is just a rebrand of a HD7970

you can just flash the vBIOS of the HD7970 to be 280X

and you get the same GPU

You might actually be able to crossfire the 280x and 7970. I think they're the same chip but AMD is really lenient about crossfire. Basically take all the graphics cards you have and shove them in your computer until it goes faster

Alright scores on Heaven were as follows

Asus Direct CU 2 7970 got : 872 with min FPS of 16.5 and max of 75.7

Saphire Duel X 280x got : 900 with min FPS of 17.6 and max of 78.3
