Hi guys,

I want some advice on purchasing a motherboard and case.

Is having a motherboard with 4 and 5 gen lga1150 support good or I should take a 4gen supporting motherboard and mind my business for gaming?

Is having an i5 good for next 4 years of gaming or an i3 will service good?

I am a teen and new to gaming so I will game at 720p or 900p.

Please answer my questions.

budget and location?

where are you buying from?

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

So based on the title. The best motherboard imo is the Asus Rampage V Extreme. Then I realized you're going to be gaming at 720/900p.

Is having a motherboard with 4 and 5 gen lga1150 support good or I should take a 4gen supporting motherboard and mind my business for gaming? Its up to you, because the time you get a better CPU, you might change your motherboard. But yeah, having a mobo with Broadwell support is nice for a little "future-proofness"
Is having an i5 good for next 4 years of gaming or an i3 will service good? i5 hands down.

I would recommend an i5-4460 and an H97 board, or a Z97 if you're going to upgrade and overclock.

As Linus would say, the Asus X97 Deluxe. But I'd go with an Asus Rampage.

I think the title is a little bit misleading. he/she said the he/she is going to game on 720/900p, so no need for an overkill motherboard.

Firstly i am a Mr.He

Now I want to go to correct question.

Motherboard question is solved now.

Yhe question which prevails is-

I am going to game for 3-4 years only on 720p or 900p and then make a new build but I am asking only for next 3-4 years,

Is i3 enough or should I take a leap to i5

I will make a 1440p and a great rig when I am 19-20 or some.

I think you all understand me.

The price of gpu here is-

Gtx 960 300$.

R9280x 370$.

Gtx 970 429$

R9 270x 278$

Gtx 750 ti 200$

HD 7970 740$

I know you won't believe it but it is truth.

My family can get me an i7 4$$$k and gtx 970.

We are that much but I don't want to cash in 2000$ for 1080p at 60 frames at my age.
