Where could I find the best mic at home?

So I'm trying to do a video for Youtube, and I would like to record myself, but I don't have any good microphone.

I've ''found'' some mic's at home and done some tests:

- Mic on my Razer Kraken Pro (the mic sh*t, seriously the quality is crap)

- Mic in my LG Optimus 4X HD (the quality is ''acceptable'', but still sh*t compared to a real mic)

- Mic in my laptop (the same sh*t as the Razer's mic)

Anyone has any recommendations?

And if anyone knows any cheap microphone (for about 30$/, max 40) and has ''decent'' quality?

Thx for helping!  ;)

Zalman Modmic. period

I would prefer a ''standing'' or ''stand-alone'' mic, like this:                                                         (not the one you wear it on a shirt)

Reason: Its easyer to record and I think the quality is better (depends ofcourse which mic you buy...)

Oh and about that mic, when I googled it, it showed one for 85$...

BTW, is that Zalman Modmic a good mic? How is the sound quality? (if its good, I will buy it right away, if its not, I rather give 20 bucks more for a better one)

I don't think there is any good mics in that price range unless you go to a lav and even then it is not great.

Well they don't need to be great, if they are "decent" that ok.

Is  CAD-U1 USB better then Audio Technica 1100?

I have never heard of that mic before, can't say. Best thing to do is to go you YouTube and fine reviews of any mic you are considering.  Look for ones with audio samples and go from there.
