Theres a sale on processors and motherboard bundles right now at microcenter.

Im looking at the i7 4790k and RoG Maximus Hero

280 USD for the processor and 180 for the Hero. I have the money to spend, should i get it?

Yep. It's worth it even if you don't have the money. Definitely worth using that credit card for getting good credit to buy more stuff. :D

I would go with a cheaper motherboard and Xeon E3-1231V3 However if you have enough money and you really want to get it, you cant go wrong. I just think it is to much money for that.

Brah. the 4790k is like $300+. And that Xeon isn't that great. http://cpuboss.com/cpus/Intel-Xeon-E3-1231-v3-vs-Intel-Core-i7-4790K

Definitely worth the tiny amount to pay from the Xeon your suggesting.

CPU: Pentium G3258 @ 3.2GHz || GPU:(first release,used) MSI R9 270 OC || Motherboard:MSI Z97-G45 Gaming Motherboard || RAM: 8 GB G.Skill Sniper 1600 || Monitors: Vizio 22 in Ultra slim 1080p TV || Storage: Seagate barracuda 160 GB 7200RPM,(REFURB) 1TB toshiba 7200RPM || PSU: (stripped from 2013 CAD PC)Corsair CX600 build was under $420

I'm assuming he's just getting the i7 because there's a deal, not because he actually needs the HT, so an i5 4690k would still be a better option.
