Which Surface Pro 3?

canadianultra

Anyone care to chime in on which is the best surface pro 3 model to get?

I can get the i5 with 128gb harddrive and 4gb of ram ~$1100

or I can get the i5 with 256gb of storage and 8 gb of ram. ~$1400

Is the extra money worth it?, Will I be hindered by the 4gb or ram?

CPU: i5 4670k GPU: GTX 770 Mobo: Z87-UD3H RAM: 8Gb Ripjaws Case: Corsair 200R PSU: Corsair RM750

Honestly you'll probably never use the extra RAM, but the extra storage would definitely be nice. There's always the option of a 64/128GB MicroSD card for stuff that you won't mind lower access speeds to (such as multimedia).

I will be using this for school. I am going into engineering next year. I have a desktop for anything intensive, but I thought the extra ram could be be useful if I have to run any engineering software or if I'm multitasking.
