Playback in Premier CS5.5

It's really getting annoying now. Since yesterday, my Adobe Premier can't playback video even at 1/4. It becomes really choppy, running at 1fps and sometimes stops. It even gets worst when I add effects and color corrections. Do you guys have any fix for this?
