did you disable hyperthreading or something?

why are they only showing temps for 4 cores?

There are only 4 physical cores in the 4790K

My i7 stopped at 4.6GHz and 1.2 volts. Any more than that and I would have to go to 1.25 volts for 4.7 and then for 4.8GHz I would need 1.3V which is ridiculous

Yes, but there are 8 threads. All 8 threads should appear in task manager generally.

4.7 at 80c with 1.25v on a 212 Eco is pretty impressive IMO. With a better cooler you might get it to 4.8, maybe higher, but I wouldn't push it more on a 212.

Yes, 8 logical processors, but only 4 physical cores to display temperatures on, which is what his comment was asking.

Ahh, I thought it was to do with task manager, didn't see the mention of temps. Yeah, there should only be 4 cores for temps.

HWMonitor only shows the temps of the 4 cores.

I will try 4.8 at 1.250.
