Nano one get's very hot I know that for sure. 

I would get the dual one, it's also more versatile.

I had some issues with installing windows from an USB 3.0 stick. With an 2.0 one everything worked fine.

But 3.0 is considerable faster and if you use it reguarly, it's may worth the risk.

ask how you RMA that sandisk just incase it doesn't work

 

that came with lifetime warranty, I'd like that.

3.0 is useless for installers, especially Windows ones due to USB 3 drivers. With Linux you may get lucky, but don't count on it.

Also, go with 8GB, that's more than enough.
