Dxtory caps at 49FPS?

WhiteSkyMage

Hey I got that beast PC, why can't I record at 60FPS 1080p? Dxtory shows that video is at 60FPS but file is at 49FPS. When I watch the recorded video is good and it says it is 60FPS...or is it not? I mean, it's not choppy, it's fluid (I am doing my recording with my SSD).

Is there anything wrong with the settings?

Why don't you use shadowplay? O.o

I really would like as much less compression as possible...for the quality...

I use Lagarith Lossless codec.

I mean if it is the cracked version of Dxtory then that's a fine and dandy suggestion, but if OP paid for it then why should OP switch?

Do your settings cap it at 49? If you are recording at 60 FPS and it is fluid when you watch it then maybe it is bugged.

No they don't cap it. I put 60 FPS. It's just that, it says 47-49 FPS constantly for "File". And I don't understand if it really is 60FPS or 49.

I've done 60fps with it before, this is strange. What codec are you using?

Sig under construction.

Ok well i can't fix it. The file itself is indeed 49fps. I dont get it, is it my SSD which is slow or the fact that it's cracked... After an update, it is now 40FPS. Maybe Mirilis action in the end will work well...

Why not recording it raw with fraps then if quality is at matter? I really believe using shadowplay would work for you just fine. 1080p/50Mbps/60FPS looks so crisp you really can't find any better alternative. Your ssd can't be a bottleneck with this setup, 850 Pro is banannas fast, everyone would suggest you shadowplay after looking at your rig, unless there's some other reason you don't want to use it...

Pretty much this. You can get shadowplay at such a high bitrate that you'll have trouble finding a difference between lossless and it. Play with the settings.

Yes, in the end, i ended up using shadowplay. Was the easiest option, besides, quality will not be noticeable ones it hits Youtube... Yeah and it works well!
