Okay so I've just finished my build, I've ordered all parts except the CPU cooler and that's where I will need some help (And some help in general with parts clearance, will there be any issue with that?). So looking below at my parts you can see I was looking at a TX3 Evo as its smaller in height than the 212 Evo, but will it be an issue with Memory slots or anything else? It's what I'm most worried about right now, parts not clearing each other so what do you think? Should I be fine?

I tried filtering my parts in completed builds on PCPartPicker but cannot find anything the same.

I've seen this many times on PCPartPicker and have never needed to do it. So how do I go about doing this? :)

If the bios is not updated for the Haswell Refresh CPU, you will need another Haswell CPU to update the bios.  The 4460 won't be recognized as a CPU by the motherboard.

Correct!

The guys above gave the correct answer. Now you can also check the revision of the motherboard to know if the latest BIOS is already installed on the motherboard for haswell refresh.

I don't have another CPU just laying around haha. I'm going to refer to the manual for updating the BIOS if it needs be.

i don't think you understand what @stconquest said, if the motherboard does not have the newer BIOS for haswell refresh the older CPU that you have will not work and the motherboard does not have the BIOS flashback feature where you don't need a CPU to flash the BIOS.

Your best bet is to check the motherboard's revision to see if you can even run the CPU in the first place.

Post when you get a solution.

Okay, you might get lucky... you might get unlucky.

If you want to find out (like right now), you can contact the retailer and ask them about that model of H81 motherboard.  Ask them if it has been revised to Haswell Refresh specification.

If it arrives and it does not accept your CPU, you will have to hunt for someone with a Haswell CPU (example: i3 4130/ i5 4440/ i5 4670(K)/ i7 4770(K)).  You can even ask a local computer shop to update it for you.

Good luck! :)

Note:  Some ASUS motherboards are supposed to have a flash feature that does not require a CPU... some of them.  I have never used it.

Okay now I'm worried. If there is something I don't know about its definitely a motherboard and BIOS things. I literally have no clue even what a revision number is. A few days ago I was running an i5-4590 in this motherboard if that helps at all? Does it prove anything?

If you can run a 4590, then that H81 motherboard is already updated.  Sometimes the older stock is not.

The Hyper TX3 is ~140mm tall. CPU cooler clearance in the Core V1 case is 140mm. While tight, it should be fine. The cooler does not overhang memory slots. But even if it did, Kingston Fury modules are ~33 mm tall and the cooler has ~36mm clearance under the fan.
