The plan was to just take everything out and put system in it (maybe watercooled because why not) replace the glass screen in the front with a thin monitor, use the turning knobs for fan control, the antenna (if there is one) for WiFi if possible etc... Do you guys have any other ideas?

If you want I'll keep you updated on the building process ASAP.

Post Scriptum:

I like the one in the picture a lot, does anyone know what model it is exactly? That'd be great.

are you gonna replace the screen with a different monitor? that would be awesome

I think he'll have to, and in my opinion this is the weak part of the build honestly. Would love to have a fully functional modern computer with that horrible screen that fits the rest of the case so well. :)

I thought that (if the tv I find is yellow) I could just put a noctua fan behind it or something, and then put some yellow leds behind it so they shine through.

Edit: corrected a silly mistake.

The TV in the picture is what i'm probably looking to get, because it has this square bezel wich makes it easier to put a monitor in it. Puting a monitor with straight edges in a bezel with rounded edges would probably look bad and be impractical.

Oh yeah but CRT's can be extremely dangerous to take apart but with decent precaution you'll be fine :) You will need to buy the TV and then find a screen and you might have to customize a piece to make it fit well
