Can manufacturers detect if you overclock your monitor?

Hi,

I was wondering if a manufacture can defect if you overclock your monitor.

plus I would like to understand how the overclocking works (does the overclocking change anything in the hardware of the monitor)

Thanks

the overclock is done at software level so as soon as its powered off everything is as was.

so no they won't be able to tell.
