I am planning to build this PC. I already have the i3, the mobo and one 4GB stick and want to upgrade the rest. I also have a 2TB WD Green drive for mass storage. I am open to suggestions but dont really want to spend more than $300 on the upgrade. So this is what I am going to buy:

Hi

If you went with this SSD you would save about 10$ with an extra 8GB: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/a-data-internal-hard-drive-asp600s3128gmc

The GPU is the best you can get for the money.

Hey ekuhlmann23,

The plan seems pretty good.
I would suggest to check thoroughly the HDD (in case you are reusing it from a previous build) with a diagnostic utility to make sure the drive is healthy and safe to store your data. I would recommend using WD Data Lifeguard Diagnostic tool: http://products.wdc.com/support/kb.ashx?id=w0TeHU

The rest of the plan seems pretty good. you can go with a lower wattage PSU if you want to save some more money. :)

If this helped you, like and choose it as best answer - you might help someone else with the same issue. ^_^
