Fallout 3 freeze up problems

Go to solution Solved by AlwaysFSX,

Did you do the mutlicore fix?

So in anticipation of Fallout 4 I bought Fallout 3 on steam a couple days ago.  I had never played any of them before and 4 looked pretty cool so I figured I'd give myself a little bit of back story and get one of the older ones.  Anyway, that aside, I've been having problems where the game will simply freeze.  It seems to happen only when I'm inside though.  While I was inside the vault in the beginning it happened A LOT but once I made it outside I don't recall it happening even once.  Then I Made it to the first town and boom, the first building I go inside it immediately freezes.  I've tried a bunch.  Turned down all settings to their lowest, turned off SLi, went to lowest resolution that it offered (I usually play at native 2560x1440).  It's the steam copy of the game so I was wondering if this was a known issue?  Anyone heard of this before or something similar?  Any tips or tricks to get it working again?  I also tried playing with the compatibility settings with no luck also.  So as far as info goes...I'm running a 4790k in an EVGA z97 classified with 2 780s in SLi.  I've got the game installed on a spanned SSD drive, 16 gigs of RAM...yatta yatta yatta....any help or suggestions is appreciated.   Thanks in advance.

This, plus go on fallout nexus (just google it) and download the 4gb enabler patch, and the unofficial fallout 3 patch, and studder remover. After I did those I would only crash because of mods I installed conflicted (had like 80 of them)
