I accidently spell tea

Get those alphabet magnets and take the letters "T" "E" and "A" and stick them in that order left-to-right on the inside of your PC case. That procedure will allow you to spell the word "tea" inside your PC.

Git Gud.

You should NOT have turned it on. You may have killed your motherboard, your psu and possibly other parts by doing that. The best thing to do would have been to disassemble it and let everything dry out for a week or two, and change the psu just to be safe. At this point your best bet is to try booting with a different power supply, but I'm afraid you'll need a new motherboard as well.

(friendly grammar nazi)

By the way I think you meant "spilled"

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

sudo chmod -R 000 /*

what are the specs of that machine? that way we can identify what the beeps mean. in the mean time do not turn it on again, and maybe open the case to allow it to dry properly. also disconnect the power cable to preven shorting (chance is slim now but better be safe than sorry)

in the manual it says 3 beeps means a motherboard failure and 4 beeps is a ram failure. chances are great that it's toast...

Wait til I get home, I will spell tea... I will send a pic ;)

huehuehue...

Well, first off. If you turned it on while it was wet... well your beat. Time to check each component for scavenge and buy new parts.

second off. Future reference. When you spill something that dontains sugar or anything sticky, it is best to unplug the computer, disconnect everything from the PSU, and wipe everything dry with a paper towel, or towelette paper. Then wipe all the components with an isopropyl alcohol 90% proof dampened paper towel or towelette.

Best of luck

Listen, no offence but that move should be a lesson for your stupidity  and you should blame yourself for having tea next to your laptop or even turning on something.

Never heard as a child not to be bare foot or when you're wet to plug in power or touch any electric stuff while you're wet? .. It could fry and in your case fried your electronic circuit.

In other language, easier one since you have no idea what's a CMOS Battery is:

Rest in Peace.

Sorry buddy, go to a local PC store and ask for advanced help. or look for internal cleaning but I doubt it'll work. MB is toasted along with the keyboard.

none taken.. I hope it's just one component.. some people on this thread think it's a laptop but it's a dell t3400 workstation.

I am not lying it's the cmos battery.. watched every vid and followed step by step.. the pc making beeps again.. should I replace the battery by someone else.. I am not at all familiar with hardware.

If its working then the time won't be correct because it's had not battery in it, putting the battery back won't magically tell it how much time has passed without the battery in.

if your trying to leave it to dry out, you need to leave it 8-48 hrs 30 mins is no-where near long enough, if it worked it may be coincidence. The beeps mean either its damaged or that there is still moisture in there shorting something and potentially causing more damage.

I'll join this topic (spilled tea, splash got inside). Unfortunately i got there after 2 min. I saw drops on the back of graphic card  and some got inside power supply. Now diodes on the back of a graphic card in on and on motherboard but fans try to spin but fail. It's been 48h since.
