Fairly new to modding cases, help? Zalman Z9 Plus

Okay so I own a Zalman Z9 Plus Case that I really want to mod instead of wasting a lot of money to buy a new case, since I'm saving for a new mobo/cpu to upgrade to skylake in the future

 

anyways, so like I said my Case is a zalman Z9 plus, what kind of mods can I apply to it? I'm thinking about adding some LED strips all around so I can see the interior easily, also I'm thinking about chaning the side panel to a full glass panel, because the the side panel on the one I have right now is just the ugly stock side panel that is open and a lot of dust goes in easily, so yeah thats that, also I'm thinking about adding some support to my MSI GTX 970 because it sags and I'm too worried about it. also I might add a fan controller, but I don't know yet.

 

my question is, what tools would I need also, would I have compatibility issues with the LEDs and my PSU? 

 

the side panle has a 120mm Fan, and I can't put it on the top part of the case, because I have the 6 pin CPU power cable going through there and the 120mm fan wont fit.

 

if anyone here owns a modded Zalman Z9 Plus, please post pics as I'm really interested in having more ideas to mod this case.
