CPU cooler get the Cooler master EVO 212.

Monitor get 24 inches at least. this is the standard for 1920x1080 1080p.

Your keyboard worth more thn the screen you are going to look at everytime you're at your computer.

if budget is a concern buy a cheaper keyboard and spend more on your Screen.

Better SSD:

http://pcpartpicker.com/part/samsung-internal-hard-drive-mz75e250bam

Better power supply:

Also if you insist on getting a Soundcard then get a pci-e version instead of pci then you can use the top slot above the gpu.

What are you powering your sound card with? I would suggest getting a sound dac/amp instead of the sound card.

"What are you powering with your sound card?"

FTFY

Also to make things easier for all of us, here is a list of parts minus the purchased ones:

Motherboard: ASRock Z97 Extreme3 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($94.99 @ Micro Center)

Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1866 Memory ($63.98 @ OutletPC)

Storage: Crucial V4 256GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($92.95 @ Amazon)

Storage: Seagate Barracuda 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($70.89 @ OutletPC)

Case: NZXT Phantom 530 (White) ATX Full Tower Case ($99.99 @ NCIX US)

Power Supply: Cooler Master VSM 550W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply ($73.98 @ Newegg)

Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 OEM (64-bit) ($86.75 @ OutletPC)

Sound Card: Asus Xonar DG 24-bit 96 KHz Sound Card ($15.99 @ SuperBiiz)

And a new Total:

Total: $599.52

I can't really think of any things to change here. The case is mostly personal taste, so I'll leave that alone, the same applies for windows (although, are there some weird things to pay attention to when using OEM windows?)

You could maybe get the memory a bit cheaper, or the SSD, but since you already appear to have bought the processor and gpu anything that is done to that list will likely not affect performance much.
