green tint is usually an indicator of a faulty/not properly plugged in monitor cable. i reccommend checking these first!

You have an Nvidia card?

Then, right click on desktop>NvidiaControlPanel>ChangeResolution> 32 bit color depth, output color format: RGB, output dynamic range: Full

Apply settings, and test

if not try new cable

 eGPU Setup: Macbook Pro 13" 16GB DDR3 RAM, 512GB SSD, i5 3210M, GTX 980 eGPU

edit: (copy/paste from windowsbbs.com)

Right-click on a blank space on the desktop and select the NVIDIA Control Panel. Check how the monitor is listed, it should say the brand (Planar) and model. At the top of the different boxes there should be a selection Restore Defaults. You can select it for all the boxes, but particularly for the "Adjust Desktop Color Settings".

maybe this?

in the newest driver update, the color settings were moved to "Change Resolution"

 eGPU Setup: Macbook Pro 13" 16GB DDR3 RAM, 512GB SSD, i5 3210M, GTX 980 eGPU

New PC: i7-4790k, Corsair H100iGTX, ASrock Fatal1ty Z97 Killer, 24GB Ram, 850 EVO 256GB SSD, 1TB HDD, GTX 1080 Fractal Design R4, EVGA Supernova G2 650W
