3.95 Gb ram usable?

Go to solution Solved by DarkBlade2117,

But CPU-Z shows 8gb?

what will it hurt taking a stick out? If you ta,e a stick out your PC boots but a black screen appear, try the other stick and see if it boots. Most likely the stick that didn't show the screen booting up isn't any good. Only thing I could think of

Control panel says that I have 8.00 gb but only 3.95 usable. CPU-Z says I have 8 gb in single chanel.

The ram are in the corect slots and I have tried switching them and claaring CMOS but nothing is working. Any ideas?

So you tried putting the stick in other slots but it would only work in the first slot? If that's the case and if you tried with the other stick RMA the board.
