GPU move to older build fps issues.

I have a 1366 socket i7 920

               intel mainboard

              12g ddr3 1333mhz

              2 X R9 270x   

 

I try to move one GPU to my old build

                                     Core 2 quad

                                     8g ddr2 800mhz

                                     asus mainboard

                                    with the one r9 270x

 

Everything works swimmingly, with the exception it runs 1/4 the performance as in my i7 build..... any thoughts?

 

Battlefeild 4 on low with 20fps 

Neverwinter on low with 30fps...

Depending on which core2quad it is its probably the reason why.

 

Also the jump from DDR3 to DDR2 is a big thing in games.

It has always run well when i run my GTX 460 playin games like Firefall and Blacklight... they may not be equivalent to the newer games  but it was still good running machine on those titles. HELL it even ran Star Citizen at 15-20 fps.... that is an accomplishment....

On top of it being a C2Q and DDR2.

 

Are you comparing FPS from when your i7 build was xfire? If yes then you are trying to compare xfire vs single gpu.  

 

Unless you are comparing both with single GPU at the same time, same drivers, same settings
