It seems mostly fine, but it isn't a pcpartpicker build, so I can't tell as well as I would. One thing is that corsair ram is almost always overpriced, but I really don't know since you don't have links.

if you wanna game this is a very good "overkill" option the 290x you should wait for the 300 series

It seems that you are going all out on this build from the specs but since you haven't posted a budget I'm not quite sure so I'm just going to assume that you are going all-out and you have a fairly large budget.

-GPU: If what you will be doing on this PC is not AMD specific then of you want the best Graphics card on the market and don't want to spend 5 billion dollars on a Titan, then an Nvidia card would be your best option.

The GTX970 By Nvidia is, in most cases, cheaper the the R9 290X and offers slightly better performance in most cases. The GTX970 is also said the be the best value card on the market, seeing that it has the best price to performance ratio.

The GTX980 is about $100 more and offers MUCH better performance than the R9 290X and will deliver a much more satisfying experience if you have the money.

The GTX980Ti is about $100 more than the 980 and offers even much better performance then even the 980 and has 6GB of VRAM. This card will give you a lot of future compatibility of you are in a situation where you want to wait as long as possible until you have to update again.

Then theres the Titan X. Which is basically the card you buy more than one of if you are a billionaire and don't care at all cbout price to performance and want every single bragging right possible.

-CPU/CPU cooler: I see that you have chosen the i7-4790K which is a great CPU. And, if you were wondering, that "K" at the end means that it is unlocked and is overclocking compatible. However, the cooler you have chosen doesn't give the best watercooling performance. You would be best off choosing one of the two options.

I do want to overclock: If you do plan on overclocking your CPU then I would suggest in investing in a better cooler. An AIO watercooler would give you great overclocking performance over many other options.

I do NOT want to overclock: If you don't want to overclock, then I would suggest getting the I7-4790 instead of the i7-4790K. These are essentially the same CPU except the one that I am suggesting is not unlocked and, therefore, you can not overclock it.  There is not point in buying an unlocked CPU if you are not going to overclock. This will save you some money that you can spend on other stuff like your GPU, peripherals, or other parts for your PC.

looks good, but of course have to ask the obligatory "do you really need an i7 / an i5 4690k will be fine for every game on the market"
