So, skylake is coming this year (if not iv'e been living under a huge rock) and i was thinking after seeing those z170 motherboards,

should i wait bit longer and not build pc for this summer and save up more?

Is skylake going to have any bigger changes than 14nm and what? 20 pcie lanes?

In my opinion, no. With the extremely expensive boards and other components to go along with the price tag I don't feel as if it's worth it.

We do not know. It's likely to be another iterative +10% performance, but until it launches and gets benchmarked we can't be sure. It may be worth waiting for simply for ddr4 support, since if it follows the same trend as ddr3 it may become cheaper than its predecessor very quickly, leaving you in a better position to upgrade it in the future. It's up to how badly you need a computer right now. Waiting is NEVER a bad choice if you can.

I just visited your profile and noticed you have a 3770k. Upgrading from that cpu to haswell or broadwell makes no sense. And it probably won't make any sense to get skylake.

Even if it's 10%ish boost it would be around 30% + overclock better than my locked 3770.

+i have no way to upgrade my current Alienware(i was dumb when i got my first pc) 

and gtx660 is still good but im starting to feel like i need upgrade (sick of medium graphics)

Actually the big improvements I'm seeing on skylake aren't performance oriented. The performance is there, but it's a pretty minor increase. The big improvements on skylake seem to be in the areas of power consumption, and heat generation.

I think skylake isn't as good as we expected.

Not sure if Linus talked about skylake or broadwell a while back and said that we can expect same as before up to 15% performance increase.

I keep my hopes up for Cannonlake.

You should be able to reuse the cpu from the alienware though, and z77 motherboards aren't too hard to find. I would focus more on a better gpu than on a new cpu, since that will make a much larger difference.
